This is the first time I have built a computer from scratch.
Everything worked first time, and the board seems to be of good build quality.
Two things to watch out for:
1) before installing windows, go into the bios and set up the drive option to ACHI so that windows then loads the right drivers for using SATA drives.
2) If you install 2 sticks of memory, put them in the grey ram slots to get dual channel mode on the memory.
The only thing I was disappointed with was that this board only comes with 2 sata leads, but lots of other Gigabyte boards come with 4. Dunno why only 2 with this one. Still giving it 5 stars as it seemed a bit mean to knock a star off over the 2 leads.
The bios screen is the old fashioned blue screen type, which is dead easy to find your way about in.
There's a cd with drivers and some simple overclocking software which you load in after installing windows.
I'd buy Gigabyte again, as they have a reputation for good quality, and their customer service is reckoned to be better than Asus. Hopefully, I won't have to find out for myself!
