5.0 out of 5 stars Gigabyte HD6870 14 Feb 2012
I've been really pleased with this card - it runs both my monitors effortlessly (though to start with I was concerned that there were some colour dropouts, but these have now vanished completely).

Two points of note:
1) This is a MASSIVE card. I had to cut part of the inside of my case away to allow it to fit length wise. It won't fit into a compact case, you definitely need a full size and even then a good full size case, and pay attention to what's behind the card slots (In my case the HDD cradles, so I'll now only be able to fit a max of 3 not 5 fill size HDDs - for me not a problem). Also with those three cooling fans you can see in the graphic it's also quite thick. I'm not sure you'd get another card into the next slot on most mobos.
2) It runs quite hot, idling at about 40c and getting up to 50c with only relatively mild work, even with those three fans. It's stable at these temps but all that heat must be going somewhere, so you'll need to make sure there's good airflow through the case - I have 120mms fans front and back, plus another on the CPU. Well at least my home office is nice and warm these days.

4.0 out of 5 stars NOISY BUT NICE 29 Sep 2011
Verified Purchase
Bought this as upgrade after buying Witcher 2 and finding that game effectively unplayable with my old card - and it makes a huge difference in terms of performance and display quality. However a couple of tips; check the amount of space in your pc case because it's huge, and it's way noisier than I expected (although not such a huge issue for me as I'm hard-of-hearing anyway!
