Me being a first time builder was recommended to get a good motherboard. Looked into several motherboards then found this, all the reviews say it is very well laid out which I would agree with and good for overclocking systems. Judging by the price doesn't really give you the performance or build quality of this motherboard and many people in the industry cannot see why the price of this motherboard is so low so this is really a lot of bang for your buck! Would Recommend!

I chose this MB for my fourth build, and I have to say I am not disappointed at all. For £100 you get the Z87 chipset, with great quality heat sinks, a fantastic on board audio solution, great ports, and plenty of SATA ports.
The colour scheme is great, I personally am not too bothered about colours as I use a variety of different coloured components and tend not to use a windowed case when building a computer (airflow being an issue as you can't have a good window with side fans, and I don't look at my pc so much as the monitor) but if aesthetics are your thing then this is great! There is also a green LED path beside the audio chipset which looks very nice.
The bios is great, not quite as good as the ASUS ROG bios, but you are paying ££200+ for that so that can't really be compared when looking at this. It offers easy over clocking of your main components, up and down voltage, but you shouldn't really be doing that unless you know what you are doing.
I am running two GTX 760s in SLI on this, and the PCIE ports support the cards fine, and as always the gigabyte SLI bridge is of very high quality (in comparison with the one sullied by ASUS which I have had experience tearing).
It supported my h80i cooler fine and the screw holes around the motherboard are of very nice quality.
This is the second MB I have purchased from gigabyte, and I have to say I am not disappointed one bit.
Highly recommend, especially at this price it's a steal.

as headline, works well overclocking the cpu and ram isnt really a big issue once you translate their words for things into what you're familiar with, overclocking the graphics card still beyond me at this point, (gigabyte r9280x) the buzzer is handy if you dont have speakers set up with it yet for the price its great, BUT while it isnt worth upgrading to z97 devils canyon if you already have a z87 set up, i would seriously consider waiting.
ps anybody knowing how to oc gpu in gigabyte bios hollar me bro
