5.0 out of 5 stars A Guide for the Grief Counsellor 1 Aug. 1997
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This appropriatelyl titled work, both practical and extremely accessible, is written for those who must cope in the course of their work or daily lives with the grief of others. At once both straightforward and deeply sensitive, the authors have succeeded in writing a thoroughly readable text, avoiding the dry, clinical teaching so often found in academic writing. A mix of case studies, theory, counselling practices and self-guided exercises, this is perfect reading for the counsellor or grief therapist-in-training who seeks a deeper understanding of the ways we grieve and what is needed, whether the griever is a client or oneself.
