Adopting a monkey or ape will assist the People’s Trust for Endangered Species, a registered charity which helps monkeys and apes throughout the world by conserving their habitats. Choose from seven different species including the chimpanzee and gorilla. Decide which species to adopt and then register the gift by following the simple instructions – register online or by post.
A personalised supporter certificate and a monkey or ape colour photograph will follow in the post. These will be dispatched within 28 days receipt of your registration details. As an official supporter, you will also receive regular conservation updates directly from the charity.

Only 10% of the product price goes to charity, according to Gift Republic's website. The charity probably spends that much posting you a newsletter and picture... cute idea but very disappointing that it's not really doing any good.

Very disappointed with this product which I bought as gift for a friend.She got no photo of the animal she had supposedly adopted and was I was left feeling it was all a bit of a scam.It's a lovely idea but poorly implemented.I see that the price has now dropped,I paid £10 which was reduced at the time from £30.I can't see much money actually making it to help these animals.
I gave this to my 24yr old daughter for Christmas and she was very happy with it. It prompted her to visit Monkey World and renew her interest in monkeys. Combined it with a monkey hot water bottle. Have given 4 stars as I don't know about the registration process and information given afterwards but definitely know she appreciated the present.

Slightly misleading box considering it appears to be printed with a ape on the cover. With this major error I struggle to see legitimacy in this product.

Gift was well recieved. You can pick what type of monkey you want to adopt and you are sent a photo of them. Good for monkey lovers and do-gooders
