I am a fan of Jayne Ann Krentz and got this as the follow-up to Gift of Gold. I was not disappointed and enjoyed it as much as the first book. Only thing is it leaves me hoping for a third book - SOON!

Verity and Jonas are wonderful characters. This sequel continues with more interesting dialogue and suspense. The historical facts intertwined with the romance make this book a spell-binding read every time. Jayne Ann Krentz has the ability to weave a story that transports you into the book to watch the scene. I highly recommend both Gift of Fire and Gift of Gold

if you are reading this review, then you have either read "gift of gold", or you are going to read them in the wrong order (like i did)!! if you've already read this book already, then you must know that the cross between jonas and verity just continues to entertain you throughout the whole novel, and this makes you want to read memorable scenes over and over again. i highly recommend reading both this novel and "gold" ("gold" first, naturally) so that you get the full effect of both stories. it kinda makes you wait in anticipation for a third in the series...whaddya think jayne? :)

I just love Jayne Ann Krentz novels so of course I had to have this one too. I bought the unabridged audio version of the Gift Of Fire and admit that it seemed just a tad long, however I loved the fact that a big part of the story was about looking for missing Renaissance jewels with the use of psychic ability and going into psychic corridors. Very interesting to ponder.
