This is one my children's favourites and mine too! I just love Lynne Chapman's illustrations. They are so unusual and the characters have such personality. Edmund the lamb is so cute and we all love Giddy Goat's big ears. The story is both funny and touching and the whole thing is truly something special!

This is quintessential Childrens entertainment. It may lack the complexity of Lauren Child or 'the Gruffalo' but it more than compensates by having a simple, pleasing narrative that teaches understanding and compassion but eschews the usual heavy handed, overly saccahrine approach that childrens stories often take.

The child I read this story to delighted in Giddy's gentle but rewarding adventure and i found much for the parental reader to enjoy and bring to life for the young eared reader.

So, though not a masterpiece, it remains a wonderful piece of entertaiment, lavishly illustrated that teaches not preaches and rewards the child and the adult.

Warmly reccomended.

My kids have always loved the grizzly tales series and Johnny Casanova I bought this for my god daughter she loved it. Jamie Rix has a true understanding for what kids of all ages love, regardless of what adults may think.
