Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Two dice and nine numbered flaps make up this clever game of skill and fortune. Each player takes it in turn to throw the dice. Each time the dice is thrown the player may close one or more flaps with a total value that matches the combined value of the two dice. For example if a player throws a five and a four, they could close either just the flap marked '9', or both the '5' & '4' or '6' & '3' or '2', '3' and '4' or any other combination. If you cannot close a flap or flaps to the value of the dice, the turn passes to your opponent. The object is to finish your turn, leaving as few flaps open as possible. A small wager often adds fun to the result! Instructions included.

Product Description

This is a simple, but compelling, game for virtually any number of players. It is often played for small stakes in pubs and bars. This set consists of a baize-lined tray with nine pivoting wooden tiles, each numbered individually on both sides, two dice and full instructions. 7 Years +

This game is really addictive! I can play it for hours and never get bored. It is very relaxing to play in front of the TV, in bed or when travelling. It helps small children to learn numbers and to add them together. It is more fun as a solitaire game, but can also be played by many.

5.0 out of 5 stars HELP ME PLEASE I'M ADDICTED!!!!, 30 Oct 2003
Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
With 6 boys in my house you can imagine how noisy it gets. I bought this for myself but I rarely get the chance to use it as one or the other of my boys has pinched it. In an age where children are all into computer games I was suprised at the way they took to this game. You have numbered tiles 1-9 and the aim of the game is to drop all of them down, by rolling the 2 dice and adding to 2 numbers together..good for their number bonds to 12. you can put down any number of tiles as long as it adds up to the dice total. if you roll the dice and can't put any tiles down then your turn is over. The twist is that you don't add the numbers left to get your score you take them at face value!!! So if you had 24789 left up then you score 24,789. The winner is the one with the lowest score.
Very addictive, once you pick it up you wont want to put it down.
WOULD MAKE EXCELLENT STOCKING FILLER FOR CHILDREN FOM 4 TO 90+

4.0 out of 5 stars Great traditional toy, 13 Nov 2007

We've had this game for a number of years. Its a great 'coffee table' toy as looks nice too! It good to use being made of wood rather than the usual plastic games and it is one of those 'hard to put down' games. It makes you use your brain ... but only at a low level through number bonds ... but for younger children its very easy to grasp. We have all (7yrs-75yrs!) enjoyed playing it!

3.0 out of 5 stars A good family game
This is a very simple toy (no batteries required so that's a plus point for a start!) As such I'm not sure it's great value for money but you do get your money's-worth... Read more
