recipie,
This review is from: Giant Cupcake Mould / Big Top Cupcake Bake Set / Baking
I have now used this product three times, the first effort (following the few instructions to the letter) was in short a dissaster, the cake was burnt on the outside and not cooked in the middle The second and third attempts where AMAZING, all my friends where very impressed, I have even recieved orders to do some for upcoming 16th and 18th birthdays. I used the following recipie12oz/345g selfraising flour 12oz/345g butter/marg 12oz/345g sugar 4 large eggs 2 tsps baking powder (2 heaped tblsp cocoa powderif doing chocolate version) preheat oven to gas 3/160c well grease both moulds beat sugar and butter together until light and fluffy add eggs one at a time mixing well between each fold in flour and baking powder (and cocoa powder) transfer mix to moulds on put in oven, the top should cook in approx 50 mins and the bottom approw 15-20 mins longer, however keep a close eye on them both as ovens can vary allow to cool for at least half an hour (longer if you can wait that long) level both layers off with a bread knife to ensure a more stable cake I put mine in the freezer for twenty mins before assembling and decorating to help set the butter icing GOODLUCK

Giant Cake is a treat,

If you are looking for something different for your kids or a treat for someone else, look no further. The price is very competetive, the same kit is on offer for around £20 and metal moulds are a further tenner on that.Compared with metal moulds which are one piece, they do have the advantage of the cooking time being the same for the top and bottom of the cake. with the cake being so deep, make sure any mix is kept light by mixing and using straight away. We have used the insert that creats a dip for fillings, beware as it is easy to loose a pot of jam in there! Overall good value for money

Great Mould...,

I have used this twice now and have been really pleased with the result. One tip is to make sure the mould is greased well and floured (with cocoa if the mixture is chocolate). My Grandson was over the moon with his birthday cake for his 5th birthday.
