Really liked this book. Being a National Trust member and a fan of spooky tales seemed a good reason to buy it. Slightly disappointed in that not all NT properties are mentioned - quite a few that we have visited weren't included. The text consists of stories from volunteers/visitors/custodians, rather than first hand accounts from the author. Sometimes the stories seemed rather convoluted, but there were a few spine tingling tales too! Let's hope there are plans for a sequel to include more of the Trust's properties.

An interesting, informative book about various National Trust hauntings. Nice internal and external photos of the properties mentioned. Would make a good conversation starter if left on your coffee table. Easy to dip into whenever the fancy takes you.

A better job could have been carried out on this topic. After all, the National Trust has 'umpteen' properties around the country. Many of these properties have been left out of the equation as regards the content of this book and I was highly disappointed with that. Boy, does it test one's eyesight trying to read the small and light text throughout. To be honest, I gave up trying to read it after a number of pages in. In all honestly, I am unlikely to finish reading it all.
