Love this series, but not this one. 25 Nov. 2013
By Travis Ann Sherman - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I honestly think this book should be pulled from the series and reworked. What a great tie-in for teaching the nature of atoms, using ghosts! Why do we have to question whether ghosts exist? Because they have no atoms! No matter! They are not composed of anything! But all this book does is plod through a basic intro into atoms with cartoons of a ghost illustrating. Using monsters to teach science is brilliant, because for the most part, the monsters we believe in exist in direct violation to natural law. Therefore, studying natural law WITH monsters gives us a great intro into the science in question. But in Ghosts and Atoms, The TEXT doesn't interact with the GHOST, and that's cheating in my book! Kids would be tempted at best to look at the cartoons and skip the dull text, and that's not good. The Zombie titles in this series were super.
