I happened to come across this band, Coming Soon, on the internet in 2009 by pure chance. I have listened to all their work, including the band members' individual side projects such as Antsy Pants, Howard Hughes. Any of my friends who have heard Coming Soon have been suitably impressed by their eclectic, layed-back, folky style.

This album, their second full album after The Escort EP and New Grids shows a definite level of maturity in the performance and slickness to the production that will hopefully only get better with time and experience., hopefully not to the detriment to their signature lyrical style - sometimes relaxed and carefree and at other times urgent or despondent.

As I mentioned above, the and is involved in numerous side projects but comes together to perform as a band. This is shown by most of the members taking on the singing and writing duties on different songs which adds breadth to the subjects described in the songs.

I would also recommend that people have a look at Coming Soon's music videos, available on sites such as Youtube. They range from humourous to slightly disturbing but never want for creativity.

I honestly cannot understand why this band have not had any UK coverage to date. Perhaps this will change when the Album is officially released here in April. (I had to buy it on special order from France last year).

It's been a long time since I bought an album that I'm compelled to put on a loop rather than keep music on shuffle. Great lyrics, great sound.
I found this band through one of their sideline projects: Howard Hughes. Equally good. Seems I'll be buying the whole back catalogue.
