Electronica on the edge

When I first got the Ghost in the Shell video game for the Playstation one of the things I enjoyed about the game was the music. After a few years of wondering if I'll ever get to find that music I finally do. After picking up a few P2P downloads and loving what I heard I finally come across the soundtrack CD, and let me tell you something. If you are an electronica or rave fan you gotta check this one out.
Something you all should be aware of is there is a two disk version of this album with a whole mess of extra tracks. I have heard it and wasn't too impressed (aside from a couple tracks). Just wanted to let all of you know of its existence and that this CD isn't it.
I will admit this isn't the greatest of electronica music, but it's incredibly tight with some tracks that will totally own the dance floor. Here's a track list since I don't see one as of writing this review:
1.02 Mijk Van Dijk - Firecracker
1.03 Brother From Another Planet - Ishikawa Surfs The System
1.04 Hardfloor - Spook & Spell (Fast Version)
1.05 WestBam - Featherhall
1.06 Joey Beltram - The Vertical
1.07 Scan X - Blinding Waves
1.08 Advent, The - The Searcher Part II
1.09 BCJ - Spectre
1.10 Dave Angel - Can U Dig It
1.11 Derrick May - To Be Or Not To Be (Off The Cuff Mix)
SPECTRE and SPOOK AND SPELL are my all time favorite in this album and they are definitely recommended for any DJ out there. Others like CAN U DIG IT are also great dance tracks.

I'm not an electronica or rave fan, but I do enjoy going to some clubbing events sometimes just for the energy and the atmosphere... This CD, I remember first listening to it at a friend's house 7 years ago... I liked it and bought the CD for myself soon after. Then I moved to London and never took my CD collection with me. I bought it again. I still listen to it every now and then - brings me back memories to a certain time... but most importantly, this is good mood music and always make me want to get up and party!
