Yes, when ghosts are "too" friendly... 25 Mar 2011
By Filerimos - Published on
Format: Mass Market Paperback
After Karo Folett has thrown a bowl of potato salat on her boss, before the assembled team, she takes refuge in Belle Angle, a plantation in Virginia, to help with the restoration.
On the way to the mansion, Karo come into a storm and get hit by lightning. After this it become even more strange for Karo. Suddenly she can see, hear and feel Hugh Vellacort, the former owner of the mansion in the eighteenth-century. Hugh, who had lived and enjoyed a excessive sex life, embarrass Karo from time to time.
Tristam, Karos good looking boss, don`t belive in ghosts at first. However as Hugh decide to help them in the case of love, Tristam have to accept the reality of "Peeping Tom".

The story is a easy read and is very funny. I recommend it highly!

enjoyable paranormal romance 7 July 2010

Format: Mass Market Paperback
Restorer Karo Follett quit her previous position with a potato salad flourish that haunts her as she became a pariah though her cause was just. She struggles with finding a new position and finally scores work on a remote plantation, Belle Ange in Virginia. She immediately travels to her new job site before her employer might change their mind.

She arrives at her destination during a torrent. At the front gate, lightning hits her. Suddenly Karo sees an apparition having trysts like an eighteenth-century Marquis de Sade; Karo has met the original owner of Belle Ange, Hugh Vellacourt. Fearing she suffers from PTSD, Karo meets her British boss and is attracted to him but vows to adhere to her pledge not to mix work and pleasure. As she helps restore the mansion into a tourist attraction, she tries to ignore the ghosts and their sexual spirits as much as her desire for her employer.

The Ghost and Miss Demure is an enjoyable paranormal romance starring an outraged female who has become an ardent misogynist and the two males in her life who make her reconsider her vow of no men allowed. The background never quite settles on modern day restoration romance or ghostly interlude yet fans will enjoy the antics of "Miss Demure" and her unwanted mates. The ghost is very entertaining as his attitude is his French peer was a phony upstart who became a legend because vellacourtism is not as sexy as sadism; mindful of Robert Wuhl's presentation in Assume the Position on Bissell vs. Revere. Karo's triangle between the British hunk haunting her heart and the S&M spiritual expert advising her how to use her vagina makes for a lighthearted fun frolic.

This is not a just hop in bed and get it over with book.

These folks have depth and are not about to let life get the best

I enjoyed the tales of restoring the old hunted house to a tourist attraction
Sorta nice that it was admitted that getting the $$$ was more important than History accuracy

A very strange but somewhat predictable story. How to pick yourself up and deal with the future. A cute book to read.
