Format:Map
What's good about this map? It's nice to look at, being two-sided it's a reasonable scale for a map of the whole country, it's got an index; and it exists - as far as I know it's the only Ghana map available. Generally speaking it will give you an idea of where places and roads are.
BUT it's too full of errors to be really trustworthy. Just a few that I've spotted: the motorway from Accra to Tema takes the wrong line and goes too far (should be Achimota to Ashaiman); Aflao on the Togo border is in the wrong place and on the wrong road (should be on the main road adjacent to Lome); the designation of importance / condition of roads does not always bear much relation to reality, and the line of the main Accra-Kumasi road is not shown correctly between Suhum and Bonsu. In fairness, there have been many road improvements in Ghana and the map can't always keep up. Many important tourist sites are not shown at all.
If you need a Ghana map, there's no choice, but this one really isn't very good.

It'll show you more or less where places are but otherwise it's all over the place- some of the roads aren't used at all others aren't there and others are. Having said that I travelled all over Ghana with it and who cares if it's not perfect- makes the whole trip more interestng anyway- plus I'm not sure there is any choise!

The map is helpful for locatings major roads, towns and geographic features but, despite being the 2011 edition, seems to have some omissions such as a major reservoir to the west of Accra and errors in the boxed text. The so-called "production reserves" caused confusion among our expert wildlife guides who had no idea what the term meant.

Adequate map
An adequate, but not very detailed map. Maps are hard to obtain in Ghana, and this is as good as you are likely to find.
