I did quite a bit of research before ordering this cot to go by the side of our bed. The first thing that disappointed me was that one of the wheels didnt lock in to the frame, meaning if you need to pick the cot up (for example, to lock it in to place over the side of your bed) the wheel falls off. Secondly one of the security locks, which is designed to prevent someone from being able to move the sliding side up was jammed, meaning that someone could remove the side simply by sliding the side rather than first having to disengage the 'lock'.. It took me a while to realise that both of these problems were caused by the white paint job on the item, the wheel because excess paint was stuck in the hole preventing the wheel from locking into place and on the lock, because there was some paint in the back somewhere preventing the lock from going back in properly so it could spring out.
It is still a great product, if a little bit of a faff to build. I would definitely buy the natural version myself and would have sent it back and switched it for the natural version if I could have coped with having to build another one (it took the best part of three hours).
All said, it is a solid and well constructed bit of wood with some slightly poor plastic/metal components.
