Michael Baughen at his best. I found this the best book I have read on prayer. Michael deals with why sometimes God seems to hold back or maybe even not answer prayer, whilst at other times miracles happen. For example why was the apostle James beheaded early on in Acts, whereas Paul escapes prison mny times?

Not too heavy, but well laid out simple biblical arguments from a man with years of experience, difficulties and answers to prayer. It does not quench but rather raises faith, encourages prayer, whilst not allowing us to treat God as a candy man fulfilling our selfish desires.

Excellent gift say from a pastor to give those who are facing difficulties such as long term illness.
