I bought this for my 10 year old son who is a very reluctant writer. He has been completely inspired by the projects in this book and it has given a bit of interest and vigour to his homework! it's great that he is now able to see that information doesn't have to be presented in a predicatable and linear fashion and this is encouraging him to pick up a pen to write and create.

I am especially pleased that I have bought this book, as my ten year old grand-daughter, for whom it was a birthday present, has just been promoted into the "Special Writing Group" at her International School in Singapore. Her brother (and his cousins) will get theirs as soon as I get around to purchasing them.

I also like the idea that there are several books based on making writing exciting and innovating, so that my g/children will get plenty of stimuli from these books.

There are many good ideas in this book, some more useful than others. On the whole the nstructions are fairly simple to follow but I wonder if a child aged 8 or 9 would be able to follow them without an adult's help so perhaps a bit of somplification and more diagrams would have helped.

Don't know if it's just me but these books are time consuming to make in volume. Some great ideas but do leave plenty of preparation time if you are doing a whole class project.

I have used some of the ideas in this book and had amazing results from the children in my class. I recommend it!
