@JenNipps is one of my earliest followers on Twitter. She has been tweeting for about 3 years, 10 months. She got on Twitter about 4 months before I did. Tweetgrader ranks her 100 out of 100. Only the Power Players & Heavy Hitters score that high. So when Jen calls herself the Queen of Twitter, she has some justification for that claim.
TWITTERPATED goes into a lot of Twitter start-up details that will either have you thinking: "Thank you, thank you, for holding my hand while I do this new thing," or "Oh, hell with this, I'm just gonna DO IT!"
If you are the personality type that dives straight into the deep end of the swimming pool without even testing the temperature of the water, you will not like this book; or probably any How-To book about Twitter. I'm more the test-the-water-then-wade-in-slowly-while-gasping type of guy. Yes, I like to read the Owner's & Operator's Manual before plugging in any new tech toy that I buy.
Hashtag chats at specific times were totally new to me; and this information, on the different groups, all by itself, was worth the Kindle purchase price to me. Jen's info on current web-based twitter services was also very useful to me.
The TWITTERPATED eBook starts 21% into the Kindle file at the Introduction, which is a little confusing. But the whole eBook universe is confusing to me. I see now that prior to this is an extensive table of contents with a series of links to go instantly anywhere desired in the text.
A few minor formatting glitches in the rear appendixes & I noticed a minor grammar error.
I definitely got my money's worth. Good job, Jen!
