This book was a great help in preparing for the MCEM exam. It is closely linked to the syllabus, the questions are set out in the same way as the exam and have a similar style of wording the questions (tip - read EVERY word in the question!). It also has detailed explanations so you can actually learn when you go wrong - so few MCQ books have anything more then TTFTF written.
Highly recommended.

I used this book as the basis for my later revision for MCEM A. It has a sensible layout with good descriptions of answers at the back. Using the descriptions as prompts it is then up to you to read further around the subject. The standard of the questions mirrors the exam well.
I would urge all those sitting the MCEM A to use this book from cover to cover.

Having been in the unenviable position of failing a variety of exams, at different stages of my career, I feel reasonably qualified to offer opinions on how best NOT to fail. Clearly the advice I was offered by one of my Registrars ("You must know everything") is not specific enough, even if it is, to some degree, true.

This book was a great help in preparing for the MCEM exam.
