Get Ready for Coaching is an extremely articulate and agile look at coaching from the coachee's perspective. The bonus is that it is evidence based which provides total credibility and will help to promote best practice within the coaching profession.

Get Ready for Coaching is a super little book that prepares a coachee for the work. It is ideal for those considering coaching for the first time, taking them through an explanation of coaching and dispelling any myths and concerns. From the start it is accessible and practical, getting the coachee to think clearly about their readiness and their goals. It also places the coachee firmly in the driving seat by providing indicators of what to look for in their coach and suggesting questions to pose at a `chemistry meeting'. There are three identical notes areas where the coachee can record their thoughts during the coach selection process and similar summary pages for the coaching sessions on which to summarise their learning and action plans.
This concise workbook removes the mystique of coaching and provides an invaluable preparatory tool to ensure that coaching engagements get off to a good start and deliver the required outcomes. Coaches too will show confidence and professionalism by giving copies of this booklet to their prospective clients.

...this concise and readable guide provides a fantastic introduction to the world of coaching from a coachee's perspective. In an already overpopulated market place "Get Ready for Coaching" explains what coaching is and, more importantly, what it is not; it provides a step by step guide that will ensure your coaching is appropriate and effective, it helps you maximise the benefits and it provides a questionnaire and checklist that will help you identify the right coach for you and your specific needs. A great little book that appears to be the first to focus on the needs of the customer!
