BOOM.

As a small business owner Brad has suffered all of the worries, challenges and indignities of launching a business (in massive personal debt and having to deliver pizzas in the early days).

Brad knows what it's like and tells it how it is.

Not as thick as he looks, Brad was told "It'll never work" and has answered his critics in the best possible way - by proving them wrong and spearheading the fastest growing business breakfast network, 4Networking, who run over 5,000 joined up networking events across the UK each year! Oh yea and they now have groups opening in Australia.

Next stop, all around the world.

He's generally regarded as the UK's #1 Motivational Business Speaker and is the author of three books so far, all of which are "self help/biz books for people who don't like self help/biz books", his unique approach to business, life is also found in his writing, his books are written with a raw honesty, the likes of which most authors would be unwilling to share.

Life. Business. Just Got Easier [2013] Is his latest.

A book which he believes will help the reader change their Life, Business, Direction, Thinking... All four? Maybe.

Get Off Your Arse [2009] - is Brad's must-read inspirational story of how he went from his boxroom to the boardroom as MD of 4Networking. With over 200 rave reviews on Amazon, averaging 4.7 out of 5, this was the publishing sensation of the year.

Get Off Your Arse Too [2011] - Brad Burton is back, sharing his unique and raw look at life/business and how everything happens for a reason, even the s**tty stuff... GOYA2, repeated the success of the first book.

It's a quick, easy read - I managed to finish it in a day and I'm normally a slow-ish reader. It's worth the 99p to get a couple of tips but I felt it was mainly used to promote his networking business. He bulks it up with plenty testimonials which can be interesting, but I'm not sure if he's just helping mates out by giving them a mention. Can't blame him for that, but the actual substance to the book could probably be summarized in a short web article.
The style of writing makes it feel like your getting a pep talk from someone at the pub. So imagine someone after a few beers, they tell you their life story with anecdotes and plenty of metaphors, then they start repeating themselves, and towards the end they're a little emotional which turns it into a long awkward goodbye.
For me, this book didn't do anything and I was frustrated by the amount of self promotion. For other people it's clearly got them excited about something, so for the price and ease of reading you've got nothing to lose!

I enjoyed GOYA. It was full of simple but spot on advice.
I wasn't sure what else we could learn from GOYA 2.
I was amazed. More brilliant business advice to help any business kick start flagging sales and I love how Brad Burton beared his soul with some really personal stories about his life and how much he and his family had to struggle and suffer.
Chapter 2 just blew me away with his frank and open sharing of a horrific family confrontation.
I've picked up so many new gems from GOYA2 and I liked it so much I also bought the audio book version with Brad Burton himslef narrating.
If you're running your own business and you need a couple of diamond ideas to help win new busniess - look no further.
I highly recommend this book.

I read Brad's first book about six months after starting my business and by my own admission it really spoke to me, especially the pitfalls that embryonic businesses can fall into. It made me buck my ideas up, stop mucking about and to get on with getting my business going.

Two plus years on I have a business that is starting to go places partly helped by the inspiration of GOYA, partly down to my involvement in 4Networking and partly down to my own drive and desire to succeed.

In his second book Brad touches on a number of elements of the first book but most importantly he adds to the readers journey. I love the intense honesty that he shares in this volume it's a very refreshing, and I feel we really get to the heart of what makes Brad tick. He is to be congratulated very few writers open up in the way he does in this book and share his innermost trials and tribulations.

Moreover he shares his valuable learning journey on taking his business to the level it has achieved to date and there are a number of learning points both from Brad and other friends and businesses he knows. The honesty and simplicity in the way this is portrayed is easy to grasp and I for one have had more points to take away than his first volume.

There are times in all our lives when we need guidance from those we love, friends and colleagues and business associates. Brad Burton in GOYA II comes through loud and clear. For those of you running a small business and needing some friendly honest guidance then this is a must read. 10 out of 10!

Look out for the Y moment in your life or business, I for one know I have more than a few of those to deal with. Inspirational!

This book will only give you ideas if the ideas are already there and you just want a bit of inspiration

Brad cannot change you but he can bring out what is already in you

If you have a creative brain and get a buzz from other peoples energy and experiences, this is the book for you.

It's not going to put money in your bank account but it will make you question the norm. Like brad says about 4n - it's not about benchmarking competition, it's about re thinking the industry and re branding yourselves a industry leaders

I'm glad to say I changed mine and picked up the Goya series which has made me feel truly alive again. Although GOYA Too is quite different from Brad's first book it is equally powerful. Having been fortunate to meet him twice and get to know him more, I realized he is one of the rare people I've met who are 100% true to themselves. This has inspired me to be 100% of who I truly am and life is much more fun. Many thanks for the books and for starting the 4N network, both of which have changed my life for the better.

This is an enjoyable easy read and I hungrily read it one afternoon and evening.

Brad is honest and open, and it is written in the same conversational (sometimes rambling) style as Get Off Your Arse. In Get Off Your Arse Too, it is characterised by the same style of Get Off Your Arse - i.e. light on theory and jargon, heavy on practical actions you can take and mindsets you can adopt. This book is less about what you can do (which GOYA 1 is) and more on the mental attitude you need to adopt to change or turnaround your life.

It is light on structure, but heavy on story telling - if you want a book full of detailed case studies with a clear structure and flow to it, then this is not the book for you.

I'm not sure whether all the chapters flow into each other - for example, the chapters which focused on social media and networking, seemed out of place. Sometimes the book seems to be written for business owners, other times for those considering making the jump into self employment. It is the type of book where, after the first few chapters, most chapters are self sufficient and can be read in isolation from the rest of the book.

Having said this, if you want a book which will give you a good kick up the backside and encourage/inspire you to make much needed changes in your life, then you need to buy this book.
