Why only 3 stars? I am a big fan of Richard Bandler. However, I find more substance in his earlier work. I guess that this work is aimed at more of a mass-market audience, and as such it is really quite simplified. Not a bad place to start if you are new to Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) - if you are well-versed in these techniques then you will probably not find much new here.

embrace change NOW 15 Feb 2009
Format:Paperback
Over the years I have tried many self-help programmes/books but gave NLP a wide berth. It just seemed boring and hard to digest. A few weeks ago I saw this book and the exercises seemed to strike a cord with me. For an NLP novice- easy to understand and to the point. I thought that was good-..until I tried the cd.

WOW! Richard Bandler, who has a very soothing but ALIVE voice guides you through the journey of your life. For 45 minutes you are relaxed, entranced and ..yes you work very hard on 'changing your destiny'. I felt a shift the very first time I listened to it. And I continue to feel better every time I listen to it, discovering new messages every time. Get it, even if it is just for the cd.

Speaking of the gratis CD, go with the flow. Full studio production. Bandler has been teaching for a long time and really knows the way things work. This is clear ordered writing. I am new to NLP. But it is the most balanced and verifiable self-improvement method I feel is out there. Beyond that, its integrated in medicine solidly and a lot of therapy professionals are on the run when things can be done in minutes. Just cuts to the chase. Remember, its about neurology and language, not psychology and analysis. I have had experience with neuroplastic restructuring after brain trauma. So many of our problems and limitations are built from neuropathways that we never redirected, even since a toddler. He works with that in seconds. When we try behavior or talk to solve things our brains are often entrained to think otherwise. No wonder people need hundreds of hours in therapy!

Feeling good instead of feeling bad, and laughing at problems instead of fretting (not more logical if wanting a solution?): these are turned around in our brain. This has all the signs of a very responsible true and very well researched technology used in seemingly every sector around the world now. Science can always be used for the wonderful. Thanks.
