An excellent resource for any job hunter. Having been helped by Mark's knowledge and astute observations in the past I am really happy to see that this veteran of the market has decided to create this guide for us all. It addresses the tough points, the demanding requirements of obtaining what is really needed so to get you what you want, despite what can seem as insurmountable odds. Encompassing the thought and aptitude you need to apply across the end to end processes, this insight means you are much more empowered to go out and get that job. I have successfully applied the author's guidance in the recent past and see this book as containing the valuable truths of securing that job offer in the current marketplace. It is true that you do need to know you, what you can do well, and what you want - after this you can customise your presentation of yourself so to fit with what "they" say they want, without compromising yourself - allowing you to present your strengths easily and confidently. This book will be very helpful in enabling you get noticed, stand out from the others, be selected, and from then onwards be seen as the best thing that happened to that company!

Everyone knows job hunting is hard, sometimes depressing and that it sometimes feels like it's all black magic. This book de-mystifies the entire process and gives clear guidance that make the whole process more understandable, less haphazard, and ultimately much more successful. Often coming from the perspective of the prospective employer, the book makes it crystal clear what needs to be done by the hopeful candidate, and then explains exactly how to do it. We all think we know how to do it, (or know someone who says they do !), but this book really provides a fund of interesting and useful information. Essential reading for anyone changing jobs or trying to find a new job for the first time. An excellent investment in your future and a good read too.
