Get disowned for the most part displays well Hop Along is a band you should watch out for, but still need sometime to fine tune themselves.
Best way to describe the band is "unique" for better or for worse, its different than most of what is on the radio, along with the instrumentals. Both range from amazing to barely par.
Over I give it a 3 out of 5 for awhile some songs (I'd say about 4 out of the ten) are solid, the rest are questionable.
I'd suggest buying "Tibetan Pop Stars", "No Good Al Joad", "Kids on the boardwalk" and "Get Disowned". If they had released an e.p with these four songs I'd likely give it a 4.5/5 out of 5.
If you are more of a folk than alternative person, you'd probably enjoy "Sally II" and "Young and Happy" more than I did.
Also The intro track "Some Grace" does NOT represent the band well, I believe it is extremely poor example of the bands capabilities.
