Product Description

Review

This book acts as an excellent resource for students to practise for their exams, revise individual topics, or use for general studying. It covers the medical curriculum well and the answers are more than sufficient and pitched at a good level for undergraduates. (Munro Stewart, 4th year medical student, Dundee University, Aug 2008 )

The book is written by junior doctors who have recently finished finals so know what knowledge is required to pass the examinations. This soft-back book is highly recommended as it acts as an excellent resource tool for medical students to practise for their examinations, and revise individual topics. It covers the medical curriculum well and the answers are more than sufficient and pitched at a good level for undergraduates.

This Get Ahead! book comprises ten practice papers that have fourteen questions divided into clearly marked topic headings and fully explained answers, including succinct subject summaries. The answers are almost like a mini concise textbook in themselves. The questions range from easier to more challenging ones for those students aiming for honours. I shall definitely be using the book come exam-time.

(Keele MedNews, Jun 2009 )

5 Stars: Excellent
This is a really good book with questions pitched at an appropriate level and clear explanations of the answers. I would definitely recommend this book as I think it reflects the level of questions asked much more accurately

(Amazon customer review, Apr 2010 )

4 Stars: Excellent
Well written questions with good explanations for the answers. This book was definitely worth buying.

(Amazon customer review, Jun 2010 ) --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

    Format:Paperback
This is a really good book with questions pitched at an appropriate level and clear explanations of the answers. I would definitely recommend this book over the Pastest series as I think it reflects the level of questions asked much more accurately (at least from the point of view of finals at Leeds)

This is a very well written book containing excellent questions which become progressively more challenging for each sub-speciality. The best features of the book are its explanations; they provide clear answers and the reasoning behind the correct choice. In many ways this serves not only as a 'revision' tool but a good source of learning too to help really consolidate your knowledge before exams. A definite recommended buy for the fourth or fifth year medical student.

This book has 10 well balanced pre-tests. It is perfect for practicing for finals and not only does it allow you assess how good your knowledge and EMQ answering skills are, but because it is separated into individual tests, it really gives you the opportunity to become comfortable with the timing involved in these exams. The answers at the back of the book are very clear and thorough.
