An excellent CD. A mixture of session dates on one disc, but no worse for that. The songs are the work of a genius, sung by one of the finest singers of her era. An unbeatable combination.
I feel that Gershwin (and I am sure I am not alone) was the writer of some of the finest popular music ever written. On this CD Sarah Vaughan gives them the immaculate treatment they deserve.She is fortunatley backed up by a motly crew of fine musicians - it all helps.
I have owned Vol. 1 for some time and am delighted to have now completed the set.
