I'm very excited to have this book in hand and salivating over the wonderful restaurants, hotels, sites and drives Gerry has singled out. I didn't have the pleasure of owning the first edition, but this one is very user friendly, organized first by region and then by town in nicely delineated paragraphs with bold headings. Mr. Frank lists and describes the favorite spots he's found over the years, from small, hole-in-the-wall restaurants to fancy, fine dining and from horse ranches to the poshest hotels. Most of it is about food and lodging, but there are plenty of must see-sites and attractions and historic references as well. If you live in Oregon and get this book, you'll remember why there's hardly a reason to go anywhere else when there's so much this state has to offer. If you don't live in Oregon, you'll want to visit--and many times--after reading Frank's pages.
