Product Description
Between these covers the elements wield mankind as their pawns. A tramp is denied yoghurt; others copy their genes by underhand means. A sultan builds a tower of bones to scorn the death of his beloved; Henry Rollins hangs himself. The futility of politics and religion is proven, thousands are exterminated on an arbitrary basis, a priceless work of Buddhist art is destroyed and Richard Dawkins performs unspeakable acts in this deft, cynical but ultimately compassionate hybrid of poetry, fiction and diagrams.
Richard Tyrone Jones is a London-based poet, comic and writer. Germline is his first contribution to humanity s extended literary phenotype.
Often witty, sometimes unsettling and always smart, Jones' debut literary cauldron bubbles with a nervy assurance and a frenetic energy. A raw and salty collection from a thoughtful and ginger poet - Tim Key
Fusing the intense imagery of William Burroughs with the poetic anarchy of Spike Milligan, Jones debut displays a merciless wit and an infectious sense of fun that matches his already formidable reputation as a spoken word performer... within it runs a deep philosophical vein that explores the Darwinian undertones of our postmillennial niceties and the many contradictory emotions that haunt our daily human contact - Niall O' Sullivan
Bridges the page-stage divide... and dumps on both - Tim Wells
