The title is misleading as it doesn't really say much about people and places. A complete waste of money and in the end it was used as a joke present for for "Secret Santa".

This book is very well done. The pictures and information are great. I teach German and plan on using this book in my first year classroom to introduce the people, country and language at the beginning of the new school year.

"Germany ABCs" is a great non-fiction book for children who want to know more about the country of Germany. It would be very good to use in a classroom for instruction!
Wonderful book, highly recommended. 7 Oct. 2014

This is a great book. Bought it for my friend's baby shower because her husband is German. She was touched to be able to share so many authentic German cultural points in a fun way with her daughter. It even highlights the area where her husband was born and raised, which is not very populated. Mom tested, German approved!!

Disapponted 18 Jan. 2014

This book has a great deal of potential. It introduces facts in such a simplified form it becomes inaccurate. For example, the book states that Oktoberfest is celebrated in October. This festival begins in September, lasts for 16 days, and ends during the first week in October. Also, the word exports does not begin with the letter X. The word Exports begin with the letter E. I find it disappointing when people write an ABC book and don't take enough pride in their work to find a worthy example for each letter,
