I have this one ,wish i had read it before my first shepherd dog though. its spot on with the advice covers everything.I am now on my third shepherd puppy ,unfortunately the first german shepherd lady i had passed before her time due to ill health ,but if she could have put into words everything she taught me. this would have been written by her . love it so much iam getting one for a friend who has got her first GSD lady. its a must read for any one who wants to raise a well balanced dog. If you are thinking of getting a GSD read this first, this is for any one who wants to raise thier dog in a fair and kind manner with all the respect these amazing creatures deserve.

I have never ever been a reader, never had the patience to sit and read a book, but decided to start taking books into work to read on my food-breaks.
Well there was only going to be one subject that I would read about and that would be dogs, dogs and more dogs.
So I thought I would start with something that I know about, having a nearly 9 year old German Shepherd myself.
I found this book to be an easy and interesting read and it covers every angle of owning a German Shepherd dog. There were also some nice black and white pictures in it.
I would recommend this book to anyone thinking of becoming the proud owner of one or more of these kind, caring, intelligent, protective dogs.
After reading this book, which I found relaxing to do, I purchased The Dog's Mind (Pelham Dogs)and this is a more intense read, which leads you into the psychology of dogs and a book I would thoroughly recommended.
