This is a useful overview of black and white images covering the main German Expressionist artists and a few obsure ones. There is a good range of images from portraits to landscapes and as such is highly recommended for use in schools as well as those who want some inspiration for woodcut or lino printmaking.

Portrait 11" x 8" min. One page intro and two pages about the artists. The rest is 144 pages of black and white reproductions, one to a page. The repro work is excellent and the black print is sharp and dense. The paper is suitably off-white though a bit thin with some slight show through. The selection is strong and varied. Most readers will find things inside they won't have seen before. This is a book you will enjoy dipping into time and again. It is excellent value.
