In pictures, perhaps not as "visually desirable" as the near identical tool count Leatherman Skeletool. Perhaps I didn't immediately like the blunt ended knife but coming round to recognising the safety aspect. However, having had my hands on both, the Crucial wins hands down for the following reasons. Secondly shorter and rounder edged, if not quite as slim. Thirdly fixed screwdriver blades which will still be there when the competition's are lost.
Oh I missed the most important, FIRSTLY a more intuitive bottle opener action.
Some reviews find the pliers a tad flimsy but IMHO they are remarkably sturdy and the anvil type cutters effective.
Don't like the clip, which curiously Gerber list as the first key feature. Will come off just as soon as I find a small enough Torx driver. Could it be improved? I'd like a can opener. Until then perhaps I'll also carry the smallest Swiss Army knife which has scissors and a can opener. Or just a can opener on my key ring.
Later edit. The knife blade is not UK legal carry (because it locks), though it is blunt ended enough that a challenge might be excused.
Please Gerber and Leatherman can we have decent multi-tools with UK legal carry blades.
Later later edit. Now carrying a Leatherman Juice S2 instead because it has a UK legal carry blade, scissors and a can opener. Almost perfect.
