Most certainly this is good value for money to say the least. Apart from being a collection of memorable french movies with G. Depardieu this dvd is well made and the screen and sound quality are of high standards. If you like french cinema, this is a very good collection bearing in mind that Colonel chabert is not available as a single entity anywhere else. Without going into details about this or other movies, Chabert is in my opinion the best one and the scenes of the frozen planes of Russia where the Napoleonic army is annihilated is a true masterpiece of cinema having a visual and emotional impact to a viewer equal to -for example- the beach head at Omaha Beach of the ' Saving Pvt Ryan movie'. Unmissable , seems like the other movies which are also very good and available elsewhere are 'bonus material'.....

Bought this as a present for daughter who is learning french & likes foreign films. Good films. If you find watching films with subtitles ok (or you speak french) then these are a real treat compared to the pulp films regurgitated by Hollywood.

Bought this only for the Chabert film as I have the 3 other films which are all good....Pity one of the earliest films that Gerard Depardieu was in is not available to buy on DVD and is very hard to find....Expulsion Of The Devil(1973)which was made by Juan Luis Buñuel....Please release this film on DVD someone....I will be the first to buy it....

Four boring Depardieu films
I hadn't seen any of these films before. None of them caught my interest, and I did not manage to finish watching even a single one. A shame.
