My little boy who is 6 loves this story about a boy who buys a baby dragon from a pet shop, but his parents think it is a lizard. Obviously, they are quite alarmed when it starts breathing fire and flying! The story is nice and simple and the illustrations are bright and appealing. Ideal for ages 3-8.

The story is sweet. The drawings are clear for a 2y to follow. Overall my daughter found it interesting and reads it every now and then. I wouldn't say it became her favourite book at any point but she didn't dislike it either.
