I already have the family sized grill and thought this would be ideal if only one or two in the family wanted something cooking.
If you call two rashers of bacon 2 portions, then it certainly is a 2 portion grill, however I would say it is a pretty small one person grill.
Size apart, the only down side is the lack of movement in the hinges. If you want to grill anything thicker than a couple of rashers you will be forever turning it over because the back end (nearest the hinge)cooks both sides and the front part only cooks the underside due to the lid being unable to sit flat

george Foreman Grill.
The George Foreman Grill is O.K. but if I had bought my Halogen Oven first I don't think I would have needed the G.F. Grill. It does, however, cook gammon very nicely.

As a present

Just right for a lone person
This is just right for one person, I use it mainly for bacon, which it cooks to perfection.
