Geoff Hall tells the stories behind everyday objects, combining a passion for product design with a love of travel . He explores how iconic objects and products came about. And equally how they have come to assume such importance in the everyday lives of the people who use them.
His first book, British Stuff: Life in Britain through 101 everyday objects, is an alternative travel guide to life in Britain in the 21st century. It appeals as much to visitors to the UK as to British people themselves. And especially to British people living abroad, keen to be reminded of the everyday objects they grew up with.
Geoff holds a Masters degree in Design from the Manchester School of Art and is a graduate in Modern Languages from Oxford University. He writes about design and teaches part time on the Design course at the Manchester School of Art.
