This product arrived 2 days after I placed the order and well within the stated time scale. The product was well packaged. A quick check on the rating plate confirmed it was a genuine Toshiba component and the design looked exactly like the damaged transformer I was replacing. The electrical rating was identical. Conected up to the laptop and power supply and it worked perfectly. With a 50% price saving compared to ordering direct from Toshiba the choice seems like a no brainer to me!
My original 4 year old transformer suffered from a split in the low-voltage cable insulation where it exited the transformer. This split was caused by wear and tear due to flexing of the cable when frequently packing the transformer into a lap top bag. The transformer shares a common design with many similar laptops and this type of failure is a fundamental design issue associated with the lack of flexibility in the cable and the need to regularly loop the cable when packing the transformer into a laptop bag. Maybe this component will eventually have a split cable several years from now and if it does then I would purchase another replacement from this supplier the same way!

What more can I say - this is a genuine Toshiba adapter (at much, much less than other online retailers are selling it for - I have seen it advertised for £60 which is ridiculous!) and works perfectly. Highly recommended.

It's a genuine Toshiba adapter, it took 2 days to arrive, and it does not over heat (so far). Only problem is that it's not the same as picture advertised. I've received the 19V 4.74A TOSHIBA PA3516E-1AC3 adapter which is also available on Amazon.
Like many others I've been a victim of fake replacement adapter, which lasted only a few of months before the transformer failed and the case split in two. I just hope that this one lasts longer.

Does the Job
Real Toshiba part. Used solidly for past 6 months - no problems yet. Recommended. Don't buy non-Toshiba cheap AC Adapters. You get what you pay for.
