I have two PURE EVOKE Flows and a ONE Flow so was very excited when this was announced some time ago. In fact, when I bought the ONE in January 2011 I was surprised that the manual talked about the Ethernet Adapter but it wasn't actually available. And it didn't become so until October. So I bought two; of course, it was my fault that I didn't read they wouldn't work with the UK version of the EVOKE only the US versions. It seemed strange, given the company is UK-based and both radios and adapters were bought in the UK!
But, I've enjoyed the radios so much (and have a further five DAB from the same company!) that it didn't concern me unduly. Until I tried the adapter with my ONE. It was very easy to set up and connected to my network immediately....for a while; then it dropped. But came back again...then dropped. And this has pretty much been the case for two months. By contrast, using it with the Wi-Fi (same network, mind) presented little or none of the same problems. It became particularly bad after a recent software upgrade so I contacted PURE who, as usual, thought me an idiot and tried to fob me off with a myriad of reasons why it was MY fault: bad connection, slow speed, IP conflict, etc., etc.
Eventually they agreed that they had, in fact, heard from other customers with similar complaints especially after the upgrade. Anyway, yesterday a new upgrade was released and I excitedly undertook it. Nothing has changed. The signal still drops regularly and sometimes the radio just refuses to function - but ONLY when using the Ethernet Adapter! With Wi-Fi, and the same is true of the other two radios, there are no problems.
My advice to potential buyers: assuming your Wi-Fi is reasonably strong, you don't need this.
My advice to PURE: you're a great company, so sort this out!
