Dress in style 19 Aug 2006
Format:Hardcover
This is a fantastic book on how to dress in a stylish way, it covers everything from grooming tips and aftershave to the best makes of shoes and shirts. Unlike some other superficial books on the market this has real substance to it, you can actually read this book and know exactly what to go out and buy. This isn't a book on the latest fashions but how to develop a wardrobe that will stand the test of time.

Classic Style 3 July 2008
Format:Hardcover
This book is for men looking for _classic_ style, not fly-by-night fads of fashion. If you are a dedicated follower of all the new trends and colours, this book is not for you.

But if you, like me, want to understand the origins of style and get an insight into what should be worn when, and how it should be worn, this book is for you.

It covers all aspects of mens wear, from underwear to overcoats, and does it in a very readable manner. It can be dipped into, or if you like me, read from cover to cover and then read for nuggets of advise when necessary.

By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
This is a wonderful book for those who still care about taste. I disagree with the previous reviewer who said that it should concentrate on the "English gentleman", the beauty of this book is that it is truly international, therefore helping people dress well in a style that is suited to them and their environment. Not everyone can get away with wearing pin-stripes and bowler hats! The reviewer who said that this book only caters for James Bond has got the purpose of this brilliant book completely wrong.

Good overview but not up-to-date
Gives a good overview on subjects like what signs to look for on a 'proper' dress shirt, how to judge a good shoe, how to fold a handkerchief. Read more

A Most Splendid work.
With business-like aplomb this book steers you by the brolly through the outfitters, outer-wear and the outrageous mistakes that should not be made in the sartorial department. Read more

It does what it sets out to.

Not good enough
The book is richly illustrated and colourful, but the really good points are scarce, and many topics are only superficially discussed. Read more
