I can't believe I am the first to post a review on this great album! I bought it on the strength of a magazine review and have not been disappointed.
It's a set of long, sumptuous songs which gradually course through a series of lovely time shifts and nervy emotional lifts..
It's like Crazy Horse meets Cat Stevens.. and then, it's like David Crosby meets Tangerine Dream on a summer afternoon in 1973.
I deduct one star because the mastering seems a little thin for what The Amazing are trying to achieve. I played it alongside some other recent releases and it's a bit wanting. Then again, I suppose this is what happens when innovative, reaching music is made on a lower, indie budget (if this is indeed the case-- I'm only surmising). I guess I'll just have to turn it up!
