I was asked, by my English teacher, to read a book over the summer and now that I am back at school I have to write an essay on it. I chose 'Noughts and Crosses' by Malorie Blackman and I really enjoyed it. Now that I am writing my essay, I can't decide what the genre of the book is. I understand that there are many important themes in the novel such as racism, friendship and betrayal but I'm not sure what the overall genre is. Can someone please reply with any ideas?? Thanks
