Having seen amazing results from friends who have followed the eat right for your blood type diets, I looked up the Dr D'Adamo website and decided to buy the genotype diet book instead.
I suspect that were I to follow the correct diet for my Genotype I would feel huge health benifits, so why haven't I you ask? My problem with this book is that it requires each person to carry out several tests, measurements and observations on themselves. First to the measurements: the instructions are not at all clear and the illustrations are really poor. If you have quite extreme body proportions then doing the measurements would be OK, if however like me, you are quite balanced and don't have great visible differences between say the lengths of your index and ring fingers, your legs and your torso, your upper and lower leg, then it is really hard to do this, (I am a designer and pattern cutter and taking measurements is not something I generally have a problem with!). So, unsure on the measurements we go to finger prints: OK there, blood group and resus status OK again. Then we need to know whether we are "Prop tasters" and our "secretor status": neither of these things are accessible to residents of the UK as far as I can see. The D'Adamo website is keen to sell you genotype testing kits but the secretor test isn't available to those outside of the US. I have tried sending my questions via the website with no reply! So unless you want to be frustrated by not being able to work out your genotype: don't bother with this book.

... and already read everything about the blood group diet then read this, it is fascinating. If you are not familiar with the blood group diet, you might develop resistance to this book.

Thank God he made it. He wrote and published the new book for 10 years 1 year ago - and its just amazing new start to your health. It looks like anecdote, but - IT JUST WORKS! Thank you, Doc (and thank you for your good old English, Cate).
