Only produces one channel on both earphones. Not a faulty lead just wrong contact spacing for nokias.
If your looking for an adaptor that works correctly with 4 pole spacing. Try kondor part number:5300AUADP.

2 of these types of connectors have failed on me in the past so I was really pleased that this item is really chunky - thick cable and substantial connectors. I can foresee this lasting indefinately

Bought from PJP Electronics. Item is not quite as described - no proper stereo sound! This item takes only the left side of the original audio and duplicates it across channels. This is only really noticeable when playing music which makes use of both ears (think Pink Floyd). Otherwise works fine (even with radio on my Nokia E71).
I suggest the seller changes their description from stereo to mono!

Not the best sound quality.

i bought the wrong one :(
i have not opened the item but it loooks fine in the packaging. i needed a 3.5 to 3.5 male to female for my headphone due to the angle of the headphone jack on my xperia play.
