Its good fun, looks good hung up (on the hooks provided). Its not the plastic kind of curtain, its more of a sort of woven waterproof fabric. Given how much a plain old boring shower curtain costs this is really not unreasonably priced. But if you are giving it as a gift do consider the possibility of children in the house its going to, it is a little creepy!!

dont listen to a kids review, because i just got mine threw today and its completely waterproof, and i even tested it to see if it sprayed watery mist out the other side, well nope it did not, i think that the kids review must be lying

Looks very nice on the bathroom
