Amazon Verified Purchase
I got two of these , one for a poorly PC and the other for a network HDD enclosure and they have been fantastic, the drives I received are Hitachi Deskstars, so no problems there then as I have used these very reliable drives many times in the past.
Anyone buying these drives has to remember that they are OEM, that means you get no IDE cables, screws or instructions, just a drive in a static bag and very well packed in a foam filled box, also the maker can vary.

I was a little dubious about buying a Generic Hard Drive, but when I opened the box was amazed to see that it was from a major producer of HDD's. What's more it has a three year warranty. The only downside was that I could not find this model on the manufacturers website.

On receiving my package, it turned out that I got a 160GB Hitachi Deskstar drive for only £30! Hard drive connected perfectly to the ATA connection and is a must have if you want to expand an old computers storage potential.
