Avoid buying this adaptor. Mine didn't work and didn't have a manual with it. I downloaded the manual from the BAFO site and whilst it does cover the installation OK, it suffers from many inconsistencies and errors. I tried installing it to interface an HP Laserjet 5p to a Dell PC running Windows XP. The plug-and-play status was recognised on power up and I loaded the driver OK and linked the driver to the correct new virtual port but the thing would just not print. At this cheap price it wasn't even worth the bother of returning it.

Like Dr Cheeseman above, I tried to connect a HP Laserjet 6mp to a works laptop that only has USB port. Similarly NO instructions were provided however upon plugging the cable in it detected the correct printer right-away (I thought that was it, unfortunately not!)...however it then only prints a line of rubbish/garbage instead of what you wish to print. Despite getting HPs online wizard, updating drivers, increasing print memory...essentially everything possible...it still doesn't work. Can't find any help on the net for sorting out this unintelligible font issue....don't buy these products!! It just wastes your life...leave well alone.

This product sucks, it does not include drivers for most OS's despite the packing information. Save yourself time. Do NOT buy it.

Plug and play doesn't work
It says its supposed to work for xp driverless, but the device didn't recognise when i plugged it in. It just shows up as unknown device and doesnt work.
