I had reservations about buying one of these. Do they really self-inflate ? Would such a thin mattress be comfortable ? Would it be big enough ? After several nights the answers are: it just about self-inflates, a few puffs make it firm enough. It is surprisingly comfortable and I didn't notice it wasn't full length. Ideal for backpacking as it folds into a small bag, is lightweight and when inflated fits easily into a one person tent.

Iv used this and a thermarest prolite short before so I can compare the two. Its about 200g heavier than the thermarest but its also thicker making it more comfortable to lie on and insulating a little better. The length shouldn't be a problem for anyone unless your a giant, I'm over 6ft and can easily fit my head down to my hip on this so all the major pressure points are cushioned. The biggest advantage with this is obviously the price, at about 20 pounds its almost 30 quid cheaper than the cheapest thermarest models whilst doing in my opinion a slightly better job. The trade off if that extra 200g of weight over the prolite short, but unless your an ultra-lightweight obsessed backpacker you likely wont notice that 200g

Bought this mat for my Gold duke of Edinbough practice, and was the best bit of kit in my bag!! It is so small when rolled up, 28cm by 12cm, and was very light indeed! So it took up very little space in my bag and didnt weigh it down!! Perfect! When inflated it is a body and head mat only, there is no padding for your feet, but that didnt make a diference to be honest, and the main thing was that it inflated to a decent thinckness as well, so was very comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone doing D of E and anyone else!

I got this for a week long camping trip. I was very pleased with the packed-down size - compact and light to carry. Once rolled out flat and inflated I found it very comfortable to sleep on. I would point out that at 120cm it is 3/4 in length to a full length mat and therefore legs will stick out the end. Not a problem for me! It is best suited for the shorter person!

This just arrived and it seems great after its first try!
I was looking for a inflating matt that was fairly compact and lightweight but that would also give comfort for a good nights sleep.. This seem to give all of that! Is a good thickness and therefore quite comfortable, packs away really small and has a great carry bag for convenience...

If you're looking for a 3/4 mat, then I would highly recommend this!

Really comfortable, folds up easily into the storage bag and is surprisingly small for a self-inflating mat. Slept without issue on quite uneven ground, on a foam mat would have really been quite uncomfortable. Comes with a couple of bands to keep it rolled before putting into the stuff sack, and a puncture repair kit. When rolled up is about the size of a small loaf of bread, so pretty compact too.

Only used once so far but was on rocky ground and didn't feel a thing. Easy to pack away. Seems sturdy, good value for money.

Having used a number of standard lightweight foam mats and inflatable mattresses to sleep on in the past, this is by far my favourite solution to avoiding the cold or rough ground. I am thoroughly impressed with this mat.

The mat comes in a convenient storage bag, which contains a small puncture repair kit. The storage bag is loose, but not large. Getting the mat in the storage bag was effortless, which is more than can be said for some sleeping bag, or tent storage bags.

I removed the air from, rolled up the mat, and returned it to its storage bag 3 times (with ease) during my trip, and was able to deflate and roll the mat in a minute or two.

The manufacturing quality is excellent, and I believe this will serve me well for many years.

I am 189cm tall (6ft 2~), and I did not find the 3/4 length of this mat to be a problem.
