Being 6'2" tall and over 250 lbs (18 stones) can be a problem when looking for a sleeping bag that doesn't make you feel like a bondage fetishist (I'm not, but hey, whatever turns you on). The roomy Pod (yes, even those of 'FB' size will find it spacious) provides the perfect solution. In both length and width there is ample space to toss and turn (or even just turn) all night long. And the extra space provides a fresher sleeping environment. I would accept that the Pod wouldn't provide enough warmth other than in very mild or warmer temperatures for most people, but those of us who have our own natural protection against the elements may find this suitable for all but winter use.
Folded and packed away it's not the smallest item to have to carry, but I sacrificed a few clothes in order to squeeze it into my rucksack, which I could then easily carry on my motorbike. It is bulky rather than heavy. It was worth it. I would highly recommend the excellent Pod to everyone - and particular to those who are 'bigger boned'.

Being over 6 feet tall and 'blessed' with broad shoulders, finding a comfortable sleeping bag has been something of a task. This product lives up to it's claims, allowing an impressive level of freedom of movement. I really cannot praise the space and comfort of this product enough. If like myself you struggle to fit into 'normal' bags, or find the shape of mummy bags too restrictive or claustraphobic this is a good investment. The built-in compression bag is a nice innovation, but be advised, even with the straps tightened as much as possible, this bag is still a little bulky when rolled up.
As for the warmth, it really is just on the cusp of being a decent 2 season bag, if you want a warmer bag with the same freedom of movement, I recomend the Gelert Beyond range (unfortuntely not available via amazon, but easily available elsewhere online) EDIT: It apears that Gelert's Beyond range is now as rare as hen's teeth, so don't hold your breath.

Unfortunately I didnt do enough research before buying, so beware of the following;
1/ It may be wider than the average sleeping bag, but certainly isnt longer. I bought this for my cuddly 5'8" partner, and it's not really long enough for him to snuggle down into.
2/ It's only a 2 season bag, so dont expect to get more warmth than the average cheapy bag.
On the up side, the extra width is good for the 'larger' person as they dont end up trying to wriggle into a 'mummy' bag, and waking up looking (and feeling)like a strangled caterpillar!!.
Amazon also had the best price on this, so if you want one, this is the place to get it!

Very big and bulky
