The problem is that the pan does not fit well on top of the bigger pot!
Because of this fact the pan does not work properly as a lid because it is unstable. It does not matter if you try to use the pan as a lid up or upside down.
What is worse! When you pack the cookset, because of this bad fit, it tends to rattle. This also tends to scrath the surface of the pan and pots.

Really great cooking set if your into camping . Doesn't take up much room . Pans are so easy to clean after use . Kettle is good size for 2 cups of tea or filling up a hot water bottle . Recommend this set to anyone . Handle mechanisim good for grabbing and lifting pots .

Very impressed with this item, its all that you need when cooking up a gastronomic delight in the wild. The kettle, which some "could" say is a tad small, is actually perfect for one or poss 2 people. The other cooking items, 2 pots and a smart looking frying pan "which I cannot wait to try out" are totaly adequate + the grip handle, securing strap and carrying stuff bag.
Weighs a bit more than the two army style mess tins that I have suffered "battled" with, but then you have more items with more uses. BUT it could "possibly" be a weight issue with some who backpack. I backpack myself and tend to take everything including 13:5 duvet, dining table AND the kitchen sink. So won't be a problem for me.
My rating "BLOOMIN MARVELLOUS, well worth buying !!!!

Well made set
This would appear to be a well made product but the kettle really is tiny. Far smaller than I'd invisaged. We have used the set once and were pleased with it.
